
CAFC Rules Partially in Favor of Campbell Soup

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) ruled partially in favor of Campbell Soup Co. as it reversed a Patent Trial an Appeal Board (PTAB) ruling in which refused Campbells patent invalidity argument. The CAFC agreed that two of Gamon Plus Inc.’s soup can dispenser design patents were invalid due to obviousness. However, the court did not agree with Campbell’s invalidity argument for a third patent.
