XiDrone Systems Inc. has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against rival firm 911Security in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas. The plaintiff claims that the defendant has infringed its patent techniques for ways to identify and assess drones entering the airspace. It specifically targets 911Security’s AiGuard system that was used at the NFL Pro Bowl and the University of Kentucky and for the Houston Astros and Chevron.
DJI and Autel Settle Patent Dispute Ahead of Trial

SZ DJI Technology C., Ltd. and Autel Robotics have reached a settlement in a patent suit between the two. The companies settled the patent dispute at the US District Court for the District of Delaware right before the case was set to go to trial next week.
SZ DJI Technology Co., Ltd. and QFO Labs Inc. have settled a pre-emptive lawsuit filed by the former to block the latter from filing a patent infringement complaint. The US District Court for the District of Delaware approved the dismissal notice in the DJI case without disclosing details.

The drone maker has filed a complaint seeking a declaration of non-infringement before the release of the DJI FPV Aircraft and Motion Controller Set.

Verisk Liable to Pay $375 Million after Patent Infringement Damages Tripled

The US District Court for the District of New Jersey tripled the damages verdict ordered against Verisk Analytics, Inc. and its unit Xactware Solutions Inc. As per the revised damages verdict, the defendants are liable to pay EagleView Technologies Inc. $375 million for infringement of their aerial-imaging patents.
