Momenta Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit against Mylan

Momenta Pharmaceuticals Inc. filed a two-count patent infringement case in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania targeting not only Mylan NV — which is now part of Viatris Inc. — but also Natco Pharma Ltd. and Gland Pharma Ltd. , which are companies based out of India. As per the lawsuit, Mylan has been imitating patented manufacturing methods to make a generic version of multiple sclerosis treatment.
Leo Pharma and Glenmark Pharma Resolves Enstilar Psoriasis Drug Patent Suit

Leo Pharma A/S and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. have agreed to settle their Enstilar Psoriasis drug patent suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. As per the terms of the settlement agreement, Glenmark is barred from making copies of the drug until the patents have expired. Leo had sued Glenmark in 2020 alleging that its proposed copycat infringes five patents for Enstilar that were issued earlier that year.
Alcon Files Lawsuit Over Eye Allergy Patent Infringement in a Delaware Court

Alcon Inc. and Alcon Laboratories Inc. have filed a patent infringement lawsuit over Pataday eye allergy treatment in U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Alcon requested for an injunction that would prohibit Somerset Therapeutics LLC, Somerset Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Odin Pharmaceuticals, LLC from selling the proposed generic version of Alcon’s Pataday.
Arbor, Lupin Settles Patent Lawsuit Over Planned Blood Pressure Generic

The U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware has dismissed the patent infringement charges brought by Arbor Pharmaceuticals LLC and Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. against Lupin Ltd. The lawsuit was related to planned blood pressure generic.
Sandoz Wins the Battle to Block its Generic Lung-Disease Drug from Roche

Roche Genentech Inc. lost its bid to block Sandoz Inc.’s generic lung-disease drug. Sandoz was successful in persuading a Delaware Federal Judge to dismiss the lawsuit filed by Roche as there was no case of patent infringement as alleged by Roche. The judge rejected the Roche’s claims and found parts of the patent to be invalid.
A Texas Court Dismisses Patent Infringement Charges Against GW Pharmaceuticals

The court agreed that Canopy Growth failed to prove its claim of infringement related to the flagship CBD drug Epidiolex under the doctrine of equivalents.
