EDTX Judge Drops Out, Reassigns Debit Card Technology Row to Other Court

Judge Rodney Gilstrap at U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas has reassigned a debit card technology row to his fellow Texas jurist, Judge Robert Schroeder III. The patent-holding company’s case against Cigna was shifted after the company raised concerns regarding a decision in a case that relied on a ruling Gilstrap secured for a client earlier as a patent litigator.
