IP Law Professors Urge SCOTUS to Intervene in Cochlear Case

A group of intellectual property law professors have come out in support of Cochlear Corp. and have urged the Supreme Court of the US (SCOTUS) with an amicus brief to review a split circuit ruling of $268 million damages for infringement of hearing aid patents. The group of professors have asserted that a split ruling by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) calls for a review from the SCOTUS. The CAFC had affirmed a lower court ruling awarding damages to The Alfred Mann Foundation.
