Nine Energy Found Guilty of Infringing Rival’s Patent on Well Drilling Tool

The United States District Court for the Western District of Texas has ordered Nine Energy Service Inc. to pay over USD 486,000 to NCS Multistage Inc. The defendant had been found guilty of infringing NCS Multistage’ s patent tool used in the drilling of oil and natural gas wells. Also, the jury rejected the arguments that claim in the patent are invalid.
