Californian Judge Tosses Apple and Intel Patent Scheme Lawsuit

A federal judge in California axed Apple Inc. and Intel Corp.‘s lawsuit that claimed Fortress Investment Group is organizing an anti-competitive patent aggregation scheme yet again. However, the tech majors will be allowed to retry certain claims in another amended complaint. The reason cited by the judge was that Apple and Intel have not reasonably shown that Fortress pulled in competitive royalties due to the alleged aggregation.
