GM’s Attempt at Saving Fender Patent at the PTAB

In response to a challenge by LKQ Corp. and subsidiary Keystone Automotive Industries Inc., the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) has been mulling over the validity of a fender design patent belonging to GM Global Technology Operations LLC. The board does not seem to favour GM’s bid at saving the patent stating that the fender design patent is valid because it has a different design from any existing fender design.
