CAFC Affirms PTAB Ruling, Deals a Blow to Intel in Patent Dispute with VLSI

The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) has affirmed a ruling of the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) dealing a fresh blow to Intel Corp. in the patent infringement lawsuit that it is facing. The CAFC affirmed the PTAB’s decision to uphold a computer chip patent belonging to VLSI Technology LLC, rejecting Intel’s argument that it is based on prior art.
