EU Action Plan to Boost Drug Access

The IP Action plan proposed by the European Commission has been published and it consists of ideas that will help in boosting access to medicinal drugs. An important proposal by the commission is the circumvention of patent or IP rights in case of emergencies so that medicines can be easily accessible. The proposal also lists offering incentives to manufacturers that choose to shift their processes to Europe.
