Hanwha Q CELLS Receives Patent Validity Judgment

Hanwha Q CELLS announced that the company has received a patent validity judgment in the patent invalidation trial for Q CELLS cell technology filed by LONGi Solar in China. LONGi Solar had filed two invalidity proceedings against Q CELLS last year in China’s Reexamination and Invalidation Department of the Patent Office, CNIPA, claiming that the company’s patents relating to high-efficiency silicon solar cells were invalid. Recently, the patent office ruled in favor of Q CELLS by supporting the validity of its patents.
