Heads of Trilateral Offices Meet at the 38th Annual Meeting

The heads of the European Patent Office (EPO), Japan Patent Office (JPO) and US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) met for the 38th Annual meeting of the Trilateral Offices, which was hosted by the EPO. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was a part of the meeting as an observer. The agenda of the meeting included discussions about the outcome of their meeting with the Trilateral industry associations, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and each of the offices’ responses to it as well as the direction of the Trilateral co-operation in the future.
