Novartis Adds New Entresto Patent to its Infringement Lawsuit

Novartis International AG has filed a patent lawsuit with the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware claiming that Entresto’s generics by its rivals Alkem Laboratories Ltd., Aurobindo Pharma Ltd., Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Hetero Drugs, Laurus Labs, Macleods Pharma and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. infringe on its latest patent. Novartis now seeks cash compensation and court order to block generic copies until the patent’s expiry.
