PTAB Agrees to Seoul’s IPR against Document Security’s Claimed Patent for LED

The Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) has sided with Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd. and Seoul Semiconductor, Inc. in an inter partes review (IPR) petition against Document Security Systems, Inc. PTAB discovered the challenged claims related to a white-emitting LED patent to be unpatentable as anticipated by or obvious over prior art.
