PTAB Denies Post-Grant Review against Gree’s Patent

The Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB) has denied a post-grant review in response to a challenge by Supercell Oy. Citing precedential ruling, the PTAB stated that since a trial in the case is pending, it has the right to decline a review. The patent trial involving Gree Inc. is scheduled for December at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
