Sandoz Files Lawsuit against Astellas over Patent for Incontinence Drug

A generic unit of Novartis, Sandoz AG, has filed a lawsuit against Astellas Pharma Inc. intending to revoke its patent for treatment of urinary incontinence. In its high court filing, Sandoz is looking for a declaration by the court that the patent belonging to Astellas is invalid as well as a supplementary protection certificate the company secured to extend its patent rights.
