
Sterlite Defends itself against Prysmian in a Fibre-Optic Cable Patent Row

Sterlite Technologies Ltd. has defended itself against claims that it is infringing two telecommunications patents owned by Prysmian SpA. Sterlite asserted that Prysmian’s patents are invalid. It further counterclaimed that its Micro-LITE fiber-optic cable products unlawfully use Prysmian’s inventions in its High Court defense. The company is attempting to have the two patents at issue revoked.
