Vertex Accuses Lupin of Patent Infringement with Proposed Generic Version of Kalydeco

Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. has filed a patent infringement case with the US District Court for the District of Delaware against Lupin Limited. The plaintiff alleges infringement of their cystic fibrosis treatment drug patent with Lupin’s proposed generic and seek to block them from making copies until the patent expires. Vertex is also seeking monetary compensation if the copies are made before the expiry of the patent in suit.
