Patent Infringement Suit Filed by Agis Dismissed as Lyft Pick up Locations Not Place for Business

Magistrate Judge Roy Payne in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas stated that the patent infringement lawsuit filed by Agis Software Development LLC against Lyft Inc. should be dismissed. The judge found that the pickup locations of Lyft are not for business. Also, the ride-share app cannot be sued there as the vehicles of Lyft drivers and Lyft maintenance vehicles were not places of business.
