SecurityPoint to Receive USD 103 Million from U.S. Government in Royalties

The U.S. Court of Federal Claims has announced that the U.S. Government is liable to pay USD 103 million to SecurityPoint Holdings, Inc. SecurityPoint accused Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for the use of SecurityPoint’s patented technology for handling trays at airport security checkpoints without the payment of compensation. The Federal Claims Court rejected the government’s claims, and awarded USD 103 million royalties to SecurityPoint.
