
Senator Leahy Advises US President on Selection of USPTO Head

Senator Patrick Leahy has advised the US President and his administration to appoint a US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) head who will work towards eliminating low-quality patents. This was the first time the senator addressed patent policy after having assumed his role as the chair of the US Senate Intellectual Property subcommittee.
