The US District Court for the Western District of Texas has transferred a patent infringement case against Lyft Inc. after the federal judge was reprimanded by the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC). The appellate told the lower court that by not transferring the case, brought by Ikorongo Technology LLC, it has allowed for venue manipulation to take place. Following the statement by the CAFC, the WDTX court green signalled the transfer of the case to the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
